Virtalis has appointed Integrasi Erat Sdn Bhd, also known as i-Erat, as a distributor for Malaysia.
Virtalis MD, David Cockburn-Price, explained: “i-Erat will be working with Virtalis Sdn Bhd staff and visiting UK staff in Malaysia and will also be utilising its own reseller network.”
Zulkifli Mohamed, i-Erat’s CEO commented: “We met the Virtalis team when working on Data Management, which is our core business, for the Sukhoi Jet Programme. We immediately saw opportunities for Virtual Reality (VR), not just in defence and Government contracts, but in manufacturing, specifically styling departments.”
i-Erat has invested in Virtalis ActiveMove demo equipment and has already received training in how to use it and how to explain the benefits of VR to potential users.
“We have several sales in the immediate pipeline”, said Zulkifli Mohamed, “and have set aside four pre-sales staff, six sales people and an eight strong post-sales team to work on opening up the Malaysian market for VR. We were so excited by the possibilities presented by VR as an extension of our IT offering, that we began speaking to potential customers ahead of even signing the agreement with Virtalis.”
