Virtalis is bringing stereoscopic, interactive 3D visualisation to the desktop courtesy of a link to zSpace from Virtalis’ Visionary Render software.
zSpace, Inc. is a leading-edge technology provider that fosters natural interaction with virtual-holographic 3D imagery through its eponymous flagship product, zSpace.
Virtalis and zSpace have recently signed mutual Reseller agreements, whereby Virtalis markets zSpace products as a Value-Added Reseller in several territories and zSpace distributes Virtalis’ Visionary Render software through its worldwide sales channels.
Together, the two companies will be targeting markets including education, manufacturing, medical and research, in order to accelerate design and development processes and increase productivity through 3D visualisation.
“Our integration into Visionary Render will allow users of zSpace to interact with and view high quality virtual models at their desktop like never before” commented Paul Kellenberger, CEO at zSpace.
Visionary Render, which was launched at the end of 2013, renders huge and complex Virtual Reality (VR) models in real-time, stereoscopic 3D with high update rates and negligible latency.
It allows users to create dynamic, interactive VR environments and simulations that can be deployed in a multitude of immersive visualization systems or be ‘published’ and distributed to third parties.
It is a collaborative, sharable sandbox that brings true 3D experimentation throughout the product lifecycle.
“We’ve put all our VR know-how into Visionary Render”, explained Andrew Connell, technical director at Virtalis. “It’s a system that can cope with the most complex data and render it in 3D stereo, then adds networking for interactive, multi-disciplinary design reviews or training exercises. Adding zSpace functionality further extends Visionary Render’s practical usability, by making it as applicable for the desktop as it is for the VR suite.”
